Description
This was once a single enamel brooch with a pearl in the middle. We removed the “pin” from the back, and cut out the center pearl, added an “O” ring at the top with the french hooks and converted them into this beautiful pair of one of a kind dangle earrings. The yellow gold frames feature Guilloché style enamel in bluueish steel grey color. The earrings are 1 1/2 inches in total length, and 1/8 inch wide. This pair is in excellent condition.
Guilloché enamel is a highly decorative technique used in metalwork, which combines mechanical engraving and translucent enamels to create surface embellishment. Guilloché enameling can only be achieved with specialized machinery known as ornamental lathes.
