This is a 14K yellow gold Swiss made men’s chronograph from the 1940’s. It is in fine working condition, and the dial is in very good condition. This watch also features a telemeter scale used for measuring distance on the dial, and also a tachymeter scale that can be used to compute a speed based on travel time or to measure distance based on speed. There are also two sub dials. The one on the left is a 60 second timer, and the one on the right is a 30 minute timer. Doxa was founded in 1889 in Switzerland’s major watch making areas, the canton (district) of Neuchatel’s Jura Mountains, which are in between Geneva and Bazel. The mountain range also borders France.
