Description
This wonderful Art Deco ring would make an amazing vintage engagement ring. Fashioned in platinum, the center stone in this ring is a 0.49 carat Old European cut diamond. It is bezel set in a hexagonal setting, with a double border of milgrain detail. Two bead set single cut diamonds adorn the east and west side of the diamond, also surrounded with delicate milgraining. Set just below the single cut diamonds, are french cut synthetic sapphires, in an inverted v shape. Creating synthetic sapphires was a new technology, therefore used quite frequently during the Art Deco period. Beautiful intricate engraving decorates the tapered band.
