Platinum and Diamond Laykin et Cie Floral Brooch
990-12022$29,995.00
In stock
This sensational brooch was made by Laykin et Cie, a company founded in 1932 by Solomon W. Laykin, Irving Laykin, and Allan Walker, on the Sunset Strip in Hollywood. It portrays a gorgeous floral motif consisting of one hundred fourteen (114) glittering diamonds, and hand fabricated out of platinum. It features a stunning mix of diamond cuts, making this piece even more mesmerizing. A sparkling cluster of marquise cut diamonds constructs the “flower”, with long, sleek “stems” decorated with more marquise diamonds! Ribbons of platinum enhanced with baguette and round diamonds portray the “leaves” of the flower. It is completed with a double brooch pin, which is also where you can find the maker’s mark. An amazing piece of wearable art from the 1950s!
