Description

These six (6) row 18 karat yellow gold twisted wire half hoop earrings features Schlumberger's iconic platinum diamond set "X". There are thirty-four (34) round brilliant cut diamonds set in the "X's" that have a total weigh of 0.50 carats, the diamonds are FG color and VVS-VS clarity. The earrings are finished with posts and omega backs for added security. At 3/4 inch in length and 3/8 inch wide the earrings are very "wearable" but will stand up to a black tie wardrobe as well.

Schlumberger was born in 1907 in France. He was hired by Tiffany & Co. in 1956. He is only 1 of 4 designers that Tiffany & Co. has allowed to sign their pieces. In 1958 he was the 1st jewelry designer to win a Coty American Fashion Critics Award- thought of as the Oscars for fashion. His designs are iconic to those familiar with jewelry and Tiffany & Co. and such famous people as" The Dutches of Windsor, Elizabeth Taylor, Gloria Vanderbilt, Audrey Hepburn (Breakfast at Tiffany's) and Jacqueline Kennedy.
